Grant's Last Night on Ghost Hunters

If you are a fan of Ghost Hunters, surely you know Grant is quitting the group.  Yes, Grant decided he had a number of personal issues going on and needed to leave Ghost Hunters.  This is disappointing, but also, it has given Syfy an opportunity to milk this event for all it is worth.

For weeks, Ghost Hunters commercials have announced, "Watch Grant's last days!" and "These are Grant's final investigations!"  Seriously, they might want to calm down.  We are all sad Grant is leaving, but it shouldn't be the only thing Syfy channel is talking about. 

If I hear one more time, "Watch the episode that changes everything," I am going to scream.  Syfy channel - stop trying to get ratings simply because Grant is leaving.  What is next?  "Tune in next season to see Grant show up on one episode for 5 minutes!" or "Witness Grant's return!" when Grant decides he wants to come back anyway.

Seriously, all of this is just silly.  Let Grant leave and stop trying to make ratings out of it!

Attack of the Paranormal Shows!

Anyone that knows me can tell you I am a big fan of everything paranormal.  I love reading books, watching movies, and watching TV shows about the paranormal.  Lately, there has been an increase in paranormal shows on TV.  Most specifically, there is an increase in paranormal reality shows.  All of this makes me quite happy.

I can literally sit all day long and watch a marathon of Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, or even better, my beloved Destination Truth.  I am hoping the popularity of these shows never goes away.  I am also hoping networks continue to run out of creative ideas for their schedules and instead run marathons for all of these shows.

Maddie the Ghost Hunting Dog

I don't know how many people watch Ghost Hunters on Syfy, but I watch it every week.  Last night, Maddie the ghost hunting dog was introduced to the show.  I love Maddie the dog and would have actually enjoyed a little more time with Maddie. 

My concern is that other ghost hunting programs will now feel the need to add an animal.  I am worried that I am going to have to see the ghost hunting cat on Paranormal State and the ghost hunting hamster on Ghost Adventures.  My only hope is that the hamster will bite someone on Ghost Adventures.  I would tune in for that!
